Feb 5th- Symbaloo and Edmodo assignment

What was the most difficult portion of this assignment?
To me the most difficult portion of this assignment was making the quiz and attaching my symbaloo. Making a quiz for younger children is harder than you think it would be. You don't want the questions extremely easy or extremely easy.

Give an example of at least one way you would use Symbaloo in your future classroom.
One way I would use symbaloo in my future classroom would be by first making sure everyone can get access to the internet and a computer. Then, I would use it for math assignments by creating a video of me teaching the lesson. If the students did not understand the way I taught lesson, they could use the other sources I had provided for them to help them better understand how to solve the math problems.

Identify some problems/issues that arose as a result of creating you Edmodo quiz.
Some problems that arose while creating my edmodo quiz was that I wasn't sure how to make get the correct answer to be chosen and moving on to the next question. After another student helped me I was able to make a quiz with no problem.

Give your overall impression of this assignment
I  truly enjoy making an assignment and a quiz. This assignment felt like a taste of really making up an assignment for my future classroom. If I can use these sites to help in my classroom in the future I plan to.

Week Two- Moblie Learning

What does Mobile Learning look like?  Mobile Learning is learning through a mobile devise. This type of learning can take place in the comfort of your own home, at work, or even in your car. With the growth of technology mobile learning is an easy way for students to learn at their own pace.

What is Podcast? Podcasting is a digital audio file that is available to download on any computer or portable media player. This allows students to listen to lecture outside of the classroom.

What are the advantages or disadvantages to podcasting? The advantages of podcasting is that the teacher can now have more interaction with his/her students. Studies show that humans retain more information they have heard rather than information they have read. Teachers can combine reading activities with a podcast to help visual learners and auditory learners. Disadvantages with podcasting is not every student has a mobile devise and the cost of getting one is expensive. Another disadvantage is that teachers may try to slack on their jobs and use the podcast in the classroom.

What are the current results of education who have used podcasting? The current results of educators who have used podcasting is very positive. The student no longer has hours and hours of homework. It allows the student to learn at their own pace. It also gives the teacher more interaction time with the student.

How would you begin podcasting? To begin podcasting, I would make sure I knew how to use a podcast. Make sure I knew what lesson I wanted my podcast to about. Next, I would do a practice podcast. Finally, I would make sure all my students had a way to access the podcast and send it home with them.
